How Buhari Cancelled metroline expected to carry 1.6M passengers daily in Lagos

People of God!!!!! Just imagine how Transportation system in Lagos
Would have look like, If
Buhari did not cancel $200m metroline contract of Gov Latif Jakande . Hence the crazy needs for Okada and Keke maruwa in Lagos State wouldn’t  exist.

If not for the wicked truncation of democracy and good governance in 1983, Lagos and Nigeria would have being in “Paradise” by now.
It’s sad and undeliverable that after the military take-over in 1983,
a worker holic Governor like Jakande was charged, prosecuted and convicted of treason, by Tyrant general Buhari. Although later he was pardoned and after being freed

However unlike a government of recession and debt accumulation administration of Buhari .Governor Latif Jakande was effective
and open and implemented the cardinal policies of his party

He introduced housing
and educational programs targeting the poor, building new neighbourhood primary and secondary schools and providing free primary and secondary education. He established the Lagos State University .
Jakande’s government constructed over 30,000 housing units. The schools and housing units were built cheaply, but were of great value.  Some of the housing
units include low cost estates in Amuwo- Odofin, Ijaiye, Dolphin, Oke-Afa, Ije, Abesan, Iponri, Ipaja, Abule Nla, Epe , Anikantamo, Surulere , Iba, Ikorodu , Badagry .
Yes! We can understand why governor Latif Jakande  was charged, prosecuted and convicted of treason. won’t bore you with long story today, pls see the killer facts of the $200m metroline contract below….

The project was estimated to cost N683 million.

A year before the completion date, the Metroline Project was terminated by the Buhari-led Federal Government. The reason
given for the cancellation of the project was the unavailability of funds.

A loan of $200 million was obtained, by the Lagos state government from the World Bank for the completion of the Light Rail
Project and other infrastructure projects.

The Blue line of the “Lagos Light Rail” Project is expected to begin at Marina on Lagos Island and extend to Okokomaiko. This particular line was expected to be entirely funded by the Lagos State Government.

The total length of the Red line is
expected to extend from Agbado to Marina via Iddo and Murtala Mohammed International Airport). It will span 31km (20 Miles),

Upon completion, the Blue and Red lines are expected to carry 1.6 million passengers daily. ask! is President Mohammadu Buhari a cause to lagosians and Nigerians at Large?
